 Today is National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day, so today, like everyday, is a great day to get out and support local businesses. They need your money far more than the corporations that run the big chains. Support real people, support local, no matter where you are.

Angie’s Circus City Diner!

 Today is Barnum & Bailey Day, so today’s focus is on Hugo, or Circus City. Hugo has been a winter home for multiple circuses for years and one place that spotlights this fact is Angie’s. Angie’s is an institution in Hugo and has good, affordable home cooking (especially the lunch specials), yummy, creative desserts and circus memorabilia. So hurry, hurry, step right up and eat at the best restaurant under the big top!

 Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! If you need a place to celebrate, why not head down to Harrah and check out The Black Raven? In addition to having an awesome name, they have amazing and delicious food and some great Irish drinks. 

World’s Largest Peanut!

 Today is National Peanut Lover’s Day! And if you love peanuts so much, why not head down to Durant to see the World’s Largest Peanut! It’s not really the world’s largest, but it is pretty big. Definitely worth a stop!

Pie Junkie!

 In honor of Pi Day, we will highlight the best pie in the state. So, head to the Plaza District in OKC and get your fix at Pie Junkie. They have some awesome and unique pies. Any pie is awesome here, but the Drunken Turtle is a personal favorite of ours.

 Today is National Bagpipe Day, so why not celebrate in a Scottish pub? There’s one closer than you think in Enid, Callahan’s! They have an extensive alcohol menu and some unique, out of this world food. Why not try some Chicken Tikka Masala?
