Review for Flo's Burger Diner!

Taste-I had the signature Bomb Burger with grilled cheese sandwiches instead of buns. (I know I've been on a bit of a health kick lately) The burger patty was very juicy and flavorful and delicious. The spicy ranch dressing was one of the best burger sauces I have ever eaten (and I have eaten a few). There is a jalapeno between the patties which adds an awesome kick to the burger. And so much cheese between the burger and the grilled cheese sandwiches. It may be the cheesiest thing I have ever eaten (and I have just straight eaten a block of cheese.) In all, an amazing burger.

Taste-Exceptional! I've tasted Flo's Burgers twice now and they are the BEST burgers I've ever tasted. On this visit, I had The Sizzler, which has a little kick. It had lots of crunchy fried onions, tangy jalapeno ranch, pepper jack and a buttery toasted bun. Heaven on a bun.

Atmosphere-Along the lines of a standard 50s diner in terms of vibe and décor. Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, James Dean, etc. A few unexpected gems on the walls. Music from 50s-60s era which played a very diverse selection which added to the restaurant's vibe immensely. Not a huge place, but not overly cramped either.

Atmosphere-A simple, classic atmosphere. Route 66 and classic movie memorabilia decorate the walls. Oldies, such as Elvis and Sonny and Cher, played over the radio. It was relaxing and laid back, just the way I like it. It really feels like a family-run business.

Service-Just a counter service restaurant. No waitstaff, but the cashier and the cook were incredible. Very polite and kind. Personable. Better service than I would expect from a counter service diner. Pleasant surprise!

Service-It's a counter-service restaurant. The service was friendly and made you feel like part of the family. I was even complimented, so bonus points!

Value-Around $30 for lunch for Jess and I. In addition to my burger, I got the Spanish Fries and a drink. Jess got a burger, Fat Fries and a drink. Large portions on the burger and fries. Definitely a bargain and you get more than you pay for.

Value-Amazing value! $30 for everything and they have huge portions!

Uniqueness-Most of the burgers (and some of the fries) on the menu are completely different from any other burger I have seen anywhere else. Some creative combinations and even the ones I have seen before are out of the ordinary.

Uniqueness-The menu items are quite unique. Although they use mostly items you would find at other places, they use them differently to an amazingly tasty result. Also, that jalapeno ranch rules!

Variety-It's a burger restaurant, so it is primarily burgers and fries, even if they are unique ones. Some sandwiches and a few other things, not much variety, especially if you have dietary restrictions.

Variety-The menu isn't especially large and is limited to mostly burgers and fries, but with food this good, you don't need a book for a menu.

Cleanliness-Standard. Not immaculate, but no real issues. Hygienic kitchen practices from what I could tell. Clean restrooms. A clean up after yourself kind of restaurant.

Cleanliness-I'm a bit of a germaphobe and from what I could see, everything was sanitary.

Sides/Drinks/Desserts-The creative fry options are intriguing and very tasty. The Spanish Fries were spicy as to be expected and delicious. Jess was lucky to be able to try one before I finished them off. The drinks are standard self-serve fountain drinks, but it did include flavor syrups of strawberry, cherry, lime and vanilla which were an extra. A few dessert options, but you will not have room. I guarantee that.

Sides/Beverages/Desserts-As for drinks, they have the usual variety of Pepsi, but with flavor shots of strawberry, cherry, lime and vanilla. Now we get to the fries. The Fat Fries are covered in cheese with fried jalapenos, lots of fried onions, jalapeno ranch, lots of crispy bacon, and crunchy bottle caps. AMAZING!

Story-Not a very storied restaurant. Originally in Catoosa, but the original owners and chefs have opened a new one in Tulsa and have been doing a beautiful business since then.

Story-Small, family owned business that started in Catoosa.

Presentation-Not a pretty presentation, but I didn't expect it to be. I didn't really want a pretty burger. I wanted something messy and monstrous, and that's what I got. Plastic baskets with wax paper, like most diners. Foam cups. Nothing fantastic here.

Presentation-Classic presentation with a basket of burgers and fries.
